Future original Shaft project to contain magical girls *edit*

Still not a music review lol.
In case you missed my previous post about this, the basic rundown is that Shaft/Shinbo will be creating an original anime with the assistance of Gen Urobuchi of Nitroplus fame and Ume Aoki of Hidamari Sketch fame. It’s been a while since my last post, and I feel as if I should at least give my small readership the courtesy to explain my self a little. Once again, school’s been draining the life out of me, and by the time I finish my work I’m to exhausted/unmotivated to write up a review on anything. Add on to the fact that a good amount of singles just came out this week and the amount of stuff I have to go through is daunting, my reluctance to update isn’t all that unusual. I will try to review something by the end of the week, but chances are I won’t be able to go through all the anime singles that came out this week.
In other news, I’ve recently gotten into lounge music that usually has hip-hop/rap and pianos and stuff. So if anyone’s got any good lounge music recommendations, post them in the comment box down below. I might write up a review on one of the lounge albums I got sometime, but they’re albums and not singles so that would take a lot more time and effort to write up compared to a single. So yeah.

Shaft to make an original animation

The confirmation came during a commercial that played during Togainu no Chi, and the report is that Akiyuki Shinbo will be directing the animation at SHAFT (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Bakemonogatari), Gen Urobuchi (Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~, Fate/Zero) of Nitroplus will be in charge of the writing, and Ume Aoki (Hidamari Sketch) will be in charge of the original designs.
With SHAFT never making an original anime in their studio’s career, I am both intrigued and disturbed what kind of series will come out of this. Take into account that the writer of Phantom of the Redundant Title is involved along with the designs of Hidamari Sketch, and you’ve got some unholy trinity of anime or something. This will either be incredibly amazing or a huge trainwreck. Either way, it’ll be entertaining in some shape or form.
Hopefully SHAFT will have a budget for this. But knowing them, they’ll blow it on the OP/ED animations.

Remember11 Translation Patch + Umineko EP8 News
October 12, 2010No picture because too lazy to find a good picture of Remember11. And I haven’t read it yet so picture hunting might lead to spoilers or something.
Remember11 is an entry in the Infinity series, which includes other VN titles such as Ever17, Never7, and 12Riven and is produced by KID. Weird titles I know. None of the other titles have been translated other than Ever17, which received an official translation by Hirameki studios, which I now believe is defunct. Ever17 was a wonderful visual novel which gave me one of the hugest mindscrews I have ever received from any medium of entertainment, and that’s with me figuring out a good chunk of the plot before the ending. I’m hoping that Remember11 will give me a similar experience, although I hear that Remember11 has a crap ending while everything else is amazing. We’ll see.
